Yeas ago I met the authorif a book entitled Halsey’s Typhoon.  I am glad I never had time to read the book. I recently purchased the book from Audible.com.  The book was brilliant!  I wanted to continue driving around in my car so I did not miss a word.  I felt every racing heart beat and saw every mammoth sized wave.  I could visualize the terror stricken sailors as they prayed their last prayer and uttered their last word. This book should remain a classic in the world of our Wartime Military/Navy tours and stories.  Enjoy this journey!

I'm not sure who Hanks will showcase in this upcoming movie, but it should be Lieutenant Commander Ernest E. Evans who commanded the USS Johnston.
