Question

Hi,

I remember watching a documentary on the German assault to the Maginot line describing the Germans had built an exact replica of an area of interest, a river crossing protected by a turret to be more specific.

This replica allowed them to rehearse the attack, successfully destroying the turret and providing a safe river crossing for their troops with minimum casualties.

Unfortunately I cannot find any information on the matter.

Could you please help me?
